Newsletter
The second edition of my newsletter will be coming out on Wednesday, Febraury 7. Since we are about to begin Lent on Valentine’s Day, I chose the theme of loving our community. Community (or lack thereof) has been on my mind a lot recently, so I thought Lent would be a great time to focus on deepening our bonds with others in our various circles.
Like last month, the newsletter will include a book recommendation, a video demonstrating a breath meditation, a sermon nugget for Ash Wednesday, and something pretty to get you through the hard days. You can subscribe to the newsletter by entering your email address in the magenta box at the top of the blog webpage or in the box at the bottom.
Introduction to Mindfulness Class
If you are not familiar with Mindfulness, it is a wonderful practice that helps lower stress and teaches us to live more fully in the present moment. For those of you who live in the Middle Georgia area,
My husband Jason and I would love to have you attend our seven-week class on Mindfulness starting Saturday, April 7th.
Jason has taught this class several times with great results. I am excited to come on board as a co-teacher and help share this practice with others. If you want to know more about this class, you can click on the
Eventbrite link here or see my upcoming events tab on the blog.
If you are unable to come to the class but want to learn more about Mindfulness, you can read the book we use in our course,
Retreats
I am in the process of planning a couple of retreats for the fall. One will be a Fall Women’s Retreat, somewhere in the southeast (My co-leader and I are debating between Mountains and Coast. Preferences?)
The other retreat will be a weekend offering of my husband and my’s course of managing anxiety,
Calm The Storms: Help and Hope For Anxiety. Jason and I usually teach this course one night a week for eight weeks, but we thought we would try a weekend offering for those who have a hard time committing to eight weeknights (hello busy parents). If you live in Georgia and are interested in the Anxiety Management Retreat, please click over to my
Facebook page and comment on whether you would rather this be a sleep away event at a retreat center or a local event where you can come to classes on Friday night and Saturday while still sleeping in the comfort of your own home.
I hope some of this goodness will be a blessing for you. Wishing you Health and Wholeness!
